ADVERTISING BANNERS
Banner advertising is still useful although it’s been said that this sort of advertising is fading out. Most major companies advertise with banners as part of their advertising campaigns.
Banner Exchanges are the places to go for banner advertising. Before you start a banner campaign you should check out the following on those banner exchanges.
Hits: this can be misleading for instance, hits records the number of times a request had been made for a webpage or graphic image to be shown, usually hits mean the number of times the webpage has been seen not your banner.
Impressions: When someone refers to impressions what they really mean is how many times the webpage had been requested by the web server.
Banner Views: This refers to the number of times the banner has been viewed on the banner server. You have to stay on the server long enough for the banner to download to receive banner views.
Banner Ads: This refers to an Ad Graphic with a hyperlink to the URL of the advertiser. Usually the banner itself will be a gif image although we see more and more Macromedia Flash banners on these servers. The standard banner size allowed on banner exchanges is 468 x 60 pixels.
Clicks: This is referred to by someone clicking on the banner itself and going to the advertiser’s site to take a look. The number of responses to a banner ad is sometimes referred to as (the number of clicks)
Click Through: This is the same as clicks but some sites will just use clicks instead of click thoughts. Click thoughts refer to the number of people that have click on the banner and have been taken to the advertiser’s site.
Click Though Rate: (CTR) a percentage figure used for estimating how many click thoughts that the banner had had, for example 1% click though rate would mean 1% of each 1000 banner views or ten visitors have actually clicked though to your site.
Banners can generally be looked upon as a branding tool. If you want to brand your business it would be good to do some banner advertising. Branding can be very powerful to your business. I have put all my banners on my traffic exchange for people to notice my business.

Working At Home
Are you looking to work at home? Working at home can be a very profitable idea, before you start a home based business you should consider reading a few articles and get some tips on how to go about it first.
There are excellent E-Books which you can get for free by downloading them to your computer. More and more people are looking to work at home these days, the advantages of working at home, no boss, work at your own pace, spend more time with the kids, make more money than you would working for a boss, there just some of the reasons people choose to work at home.
AFFILIATE PROGRAMS
Be aware of the scams out there and there is plenty of them. Never join more than one program at a time test the program out, things you should look for when joining any program is this. Has the program got good support for its customers? how long have they been in business, is this a well established company?, What does the company offer in terms of commissions. Look at companies that pay well, I tend to look for affiliate programs that offer at least 50% in commissions.
MAKING MONEY
It takes time to start making money online, you should give yourself at least three months before you see any rewards, and it all depends on which program you choose. Set yourself up with some space at home; choose a quite room with not many distractions. Allow yourself some time each day to run your online business.
For example when I used to have a full time job I used to get up at 4:00am in the morning and start working at my computer till I went to work at 8:00am. Then I would come home from work at night and work from 7:00pm till 9:00pm.
Be patient things wont’ happen overnight work towards your goals. If you are working a full time job you need to think of how many hours a week you can put into your business. Set yourself a budget each month. When I first started my work at home business I allowed myself $400 a month. Of course the more you invest in the beginning the greater and faster the achievement will be. But I felt that $400 a month was ample for me.
ADVERTISING
This is where your budget every month comes in. There are free places to advertise and there are paid places to advertise. I choose to do most of my advertising with traffic exchange programs, this can get costly if you upgrade into these programs so take a close look at what each program offers before joining. A good place to start if you are going to do traffic exchanges is page swirl, Dan Moses explains the proper way to go about getting loads of traffic to your affiliate program. There is plenty of more recourse to advertise which these are discussed in detail in the free E-book download.

CHOOSING AN ONLINE BUSINESS
ONLINE BUSINESS
Many people want to achieve financial freedom and they know very well that running their own business has always and will always be the best road to financial freedom.
Online business can be done by everyone at any age. Having a domain name can go a long way to becoming financial in the short term. You can start out by selling products online; this will give you money to start advertising your primary business.
Choosing your online business is a very important decision and one that should not be made lightly. It is the choice that recognizes a true business person. Starting an online business is, for some, a difficult decision to make.
Every online business strives to make their website unique. The main premise behind building a successful online business is your continued focus on building a client base and having a plan to do that. Now, before we go any further, I need to define what I mean when I say a "successful online business".
A successful online business is one that makes a profit for the LONG HAUL, not just a few bucks this week. Before you start any online business make sure you have your monthly budget in place.
You’re Business Plan
A business plan will help give a direction to your business and will help you achieve your financial goals in the long run. Create a budget for yourself that will ensure that you can run your business for the LONG TERM. Make sure that you understand your plan and which direction you’re going to take with advertising your business.
Creating a business plan is a must. The bad news is that far too many people don't do anything about it. A critical point of any marketing plan is to know exactly who your customers are and where they come from. The business plan will help give a direction to your business and will help you plan your strategies. Remember, no business plan is ever fool proof.
